Date: starting on 2nd of March 2016, 4.15 p.m.

Content of the seminar:

This seminar provides a forum for students who are already involved in research (for a project, master thesis, or phd thesis).
They learn to discuss problems and results of their research in an informal way, and to extract relevant knowledge from new research papers ("Journal Club").

Rules for our Journal club sessions:

Each presenter should use the blackboard, and only project figures from the paper if needed.
Each meeting should last at most 45 minutes, where at least 20 min should be spent on discussions. Thus one really needs to focus on the key points, selected with an eye towards what interests the presenter (and the rest of the group).
The presenter should please send me 2 days before his talk an email to allew@ with the links to the papers for which he will lead the discussion. All others should at least skim them through, to catch basic definitions etc, formulate questions.
