Grading

Lecture

Your grade for the lecture is determined by a final exam at the end of the semester.

Practicals

5-6 tasks will be handed out continuously throughout the semester. The solutions should be submitted usually 2 weeks later. Solutions will be graded. Bonus-tasks will be added such that students can gain additional points (i.e., one can achieve more than 100% for a task if good solutions to bonus-examples are submitted). From these partial grades, the final grade is determined simply by adding up the points. For a positive grade, at least 50% have to be achieved, better grades are then equally spaced on the remaining point-volume. Students with a negative grade with a close margin of being positive may solve another additional task after the semester.
